Researched and shopped many vises. Mostly U.S. made some were nice, but quite costly. The cheaper ones seemed to have bad reviews or be less aestechically pleasing. When I watched YouTube videos on this vise I was impressed. Made in Italy rather than somewhere with no pride in what they produce. Plus the price is great. I've had it a few weeks now and I'm still getting used to it. However my flies have taken a definite step up. My experience ordering from LA Fine Mouche was excellent.
