A word from the designer on the development of the NT11:

In 2019, while reading one of the scientific news journals, to which I subscribe, my interest was drawn to an article published by the Institute for Ultra-Strong Composites by Computational Design (US-COMP) on NASA's development of future carbon materials needed for spacecraft to safely take humans to Mars.
That's where I first came across the name T1100 G and learned that it, along with Hexcel's IM10 material, was used in current Mars spacecraft.
The properties it brings are an incredible resistance to shocks and deformations, I wondered if this material could also bring significant advantages to a fly rod. Since our NT8 rods were still new on the market, I put my thoughts on hold for a year, then brought the subject up in a meeting with our high-end rod manufacturer. It turned out that the material was already being used to produce state-of-the-art graphite golf shafts, which convinced me to try this material for our next generation of high-end fly rods.
And here we are... 3 years later, after extensive action and construction testing, the new Guideline NT11 series of trout and salmon fly rods is born. Rods that are lighter than the NT8, but also stronger, more reliable and more resistant to breakage from bending, compression or impact than any other rod we have ever built.
