The measurements given in the table refer to the body measurements and NOT to those of the waders.

This chart is primarily a guide to help you find the right size. The fit of fishing clothing depends not only on your body measurements, but also on your preferences. Some people prefer to wear their clothes close-fitting, while others prefer a looser fit.

ABSOLUTELY WATERPROOF AND HIGHLY BREATHABLE

First-class waders must keep you dry. They have to be reliably waterproof and keep water out even when you are wading for a long time. When fly fishing, however, you are constantly on the move and your body regulates the heat balance by starting to perspire. In order to keep you dry from the inside, high-quality waders must also be breathable, so that sweat can escape in the form of water vapour before condensation forms on the inside of the waders.

The heart of the ALPINE DIVER V3 is a modern 5-layer high-performance fabric from Japanese production, which is not only absolutely waterproof, but also highly breathable and also has impressive values in terms of abrasion and tear resistance. The lower part of the waders is also made from a particularly robust fabric, as this is the area that is most exposed to wear and tear. In the upper area, a somewhat lighter fabric was chosen to optimise wearing comfort and freedom of movement. In terms of waterproofness and breathability, however, both fabrics are identical.

The most important technical properties and key figures of the densely woven microfibre multilayer fabric:

• Waterproofness > 30,000 mm water column
• Breathability > 5,000 g/m²/24 hours
• Fabric weight in the lower area: approx. 310 g/m²
• Fabric weight in the chest area: approx. 220 g/m²

WELDED BONDS, OPTIMISED CUTS

As with the previous series, the individual fabric cuts in the current model are bond together with the proven fabric welding process using pressure and heat without classic stitched seams. This process guarantees extremely durable and hard-wearing connections without the fabric being perforated a thousand times with needle and thread.

The cut patterns have also been slightly improved so that the waders now have an optimized fit, especially in the pelvic and hip areas, and are even more comfortable to wear. The sizes have also been slightly revised, although the ALPINE DIVER V3 is still based on European clothing sizes. In addition to the standard sizes, further size combinations have been introduced so that the right waders should now be available for almost every stature.

And last but not least, during the development process, emphasis was also placed on a modern, reduced and clear design. This is also underlined by the unobtrusive and matching colour scheme that separates the areas with the different fabrics. While the lower section is coloured in carbon, the upper section has a colour called orion blue.

TWO WADERS IN ONE

One of the success factors of the ALPINE DIVER models so far has certainly been the clever shoulder strap system, which allows the waders to be worn both chest- and waist-high. When you get right down to it, the ALPINE V3 is not only chest and hip waders at the same time, but also everything in between. This is because the waders can be firmly locked at any height and then remain reliably in this position.

This flexibility is particularly comfortable in summer when temperatures are high and when fishing in shallower waters. For the ALPINE DIVER V3, this practical function of the shoulder straps has not only been adopted, but in some places made even more comfortable and user-friendly. For example, the front clamp fasteners on the shoulder strap system are now even easier to open, since a handy fastener band has been added to the tabs.

In addition, the slider on the back strap has been adjusted so that it now follows every desired setting even better. In a few easy steps you can adjust the height of your waders without having to open the straps or even take them off.

The shoulder padding of the braces has also been improved. The neoprene padding is now fixed at the connection point of the straps but allows the front elastic straps to be adjusted over a wide range. The padding is in one piece and is shaped to distribute the weight nice and evenly across the shoulders without the straps cutting into the neck.

The straps themselves are of course adjustable in length and feature a new closure that can be easily operated with one hand by sliding the two individual parts against each other. When closed, the fastener still holds very securely and does not open unintentionally. Compared to the classic click closures, these Magic Slider closures are much less bulky and are therefore more comfortable to wear.

An elasticated waistband with adjustment options on both sides allows you to adjust the top of the waders to suit your individual needs, whether you wear them as chest or hip waders. A strong, elastic wading belt with a large and robust click closure also keeps the waders in place.

Both the elasticated waistband and the wading belt not only significantly increase wearing comfort, but also significantly reduce water penetration in the event of an accidental fall, thus contributing to greater safety when wading and fishing.

INTEGRATED PROTECTION IN THE KNEE AREA

A foam pad in the knee area of the waders makes kneeling down much more comfortable. Especially in very visible conditions, clear water and shy fish, you will have success on the water especially if you make your silhouette very small. The foam pad is generously sized and covers the entire knee area. It is inserted in a specially designed inner pocket and can also be removed.

With this knee pad, you will be tempted to kneel down in all possible and impossible places much more often in future, because the cushioning properties of the insert mean that it is no longer uncomfortable even on sharp stones. Nevertheless, please take care of your waders. The fabric used in the lower part is particularly hard-wearing, but still not indestructible.

ENHANCED FIT AND DURABILITY

Even though it may not be obvious at first glance, a number of details have been optimised on the neoprene socks and gravel guards, which should significantly improve both comfort and durability.

The socks are made of 4 mm thick neoprene, which has been given a stronger coating that makes it even more robust and abrasion resistant. A rubber coating in the form of a honeycomb pattern has also been applied to its sole, which further reinforces this particularly stressed area. At the same time, this reduces slipping/rubbing of the neoprene socks in the wading boots and thus prevents wear. The cut of the socks has been made a little more ergonomic. By optimising the cut of the individual neoprene parts, it is also possible to reduce the number and length of the bonds and guide them so that they are not in places subject to heavy wear. Of course, all bonds on the neoprene socks of this wader model are also additionally protected with abrasion-resistant adhesive tape.

For the gravel guards, neoprene with a robust cover is also used. Compared to the previous model, however, it is now easier to pull over the wading boots. To further increase the durability of the gravel guards, they are no longer simply cut off at the bottom edge, but the edge has been enclosed in a hem made of robust fabric. This prevents the gravel guards from fraying prematurely.

ALL POCKETS IN DETAIL
